Executive Management Team




Dan is a founding partner of Aliter Investment Services and is primarily responsible for running Business Development and driving the overall growth for the firm. Dan has worked globally with many of the largest fund companies and pension plans in the investment services industry. He has held senior leadership roles specializing in the development of critical investment business solutions at Sentinel Financial, Ceres Partners, eSeclending, State Street Corp., Chase Manhattan and The Boston Company. Dan understands how to lead and scale businesses and develop and nurture senior strategic relationships and partnerships in the asset management/ servicing space. His vast experience leading major investment services outsourcing initiatives and advising asset managers, pension funds and offshore fund groups as a consultative and trusted problem-solver spans over 25 years.

Dan proudly served on the Expect Miracles Foundation / Mutual Funds Against Cancer Board of Directors for ten years. He earned his Juris Doctor at Suffolk University School of Law and was admitted to the Mass Bar in 1992. He received a degree in Business Management at Bentley University.




David Belanger is famous for saying “relationships are the only things that matter”. As a senior executive for several technology firms supporting the asset management industry, he has built strong relationships throughout the sector over the past 20 years. He has supported asset management clients that run the gamut from more mature hedge funds to the largest hedge funds in the world. He has run organizations that have had over 1000 consultants in the field helping his clients execute on their visions and strategic initiatives. David is a hands-on leader who focuses on adding value any way possible to his clients.

David is committed to expanding the scope of services and reach of Aliter. He will contribute to Aliter’s goal of becoming the most trusted investment services consulting firm in the North East. Before starting Aliter, David started The CERES Group an IT consulting firm that he still runs today. He graduated with a Bachelors in Marketing from Nichols College and is currently serving on the Nichols Board of Directors. When he is not working, David can be found on an ice rink or lacrosse field coaching his three children.




Keith is a Managing Director and Partner of Aliter Investment Services and is primarily responsible for client service delivery and oversight. He is a leader in the financial services industry and has held management and executive roles at State Street, Beacon Consulting Group (acquired by Accenture) and Navigant Consulting. Keith is an operations and technology expert with experience managing strategic projects for industry-leading service providers, asset managers and owners. His services focus on business and operations transformation, technology strategy and implementation, risk and compliance, and outsourcing. Keith is an expert in the asset servicing business including mutual funds, hedge, pensions, private equity, real estate, and insurance products.

Keith advises the world’s top financial institutions on successfully planning and implementing their operations and technology transformation initiatives. He leads large engagements, helping clients implement their corporate strategies to grow their business. His extensive experience in leading technology and operations initiatives for investment management organizations and service providers has allowed him to become a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for his clients as well as an innovator to the financial services community.

Practice Leadership




Janis is a Managing Director at Aliter Investment Services and has over 30 years of experience in the asset management industry. Her particular emphasis is on assisting registered investment companies and third-party service providers in mutual fund financial reporting & fund administration, process improvement, internal controls and the evaluation and selection of financial reporting technology related platforms. She also specializes in assisting clients in meeting the overall demands for financial reporting and regulatory requirements. Ms. Shalit is a fund services expert in the industry and most recently serves as a pioneer in the efforts to operationalize Investment Company (‘SEC”) Reporting Modernization. She has been a featured speaker at various vendor and administrator sponsored events on SEC Reporting Modernization.

Prior to joining Aliter, Janis was a Managing Director, Head of Financial Reporting for the US Fund Accounting and Administration line of business at BNY Mellon. There she managed the responsibilities for all shareholder reporting functions pertaining to registered and certain non-registered funds including ETF products for roughly 1900 funds and 100+ clients. Before her work at BNY Mellon, Janis spent 16 years in the audit practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
